ILT2014 Conference app for iPhone and iPad

This app will very quickly become your central social and information hub for keeping up with developments for the Inclusive Learning Technologies Conference 2014 running on Queensland’s Gold Coast in Australia from the 20th to 23rd May, 2014.

What is the Inclusive Learning Technologies Conference 2014 about? Hosted by Spectronics, the conference focuses specifically on "inclusive learning technologies". Those technologies designed to advance independent achievement for people with disabilities and/or students with learning difficulties. It includes sessions covering technologies and their inclusion in support strategies for

•Struggling students*
•Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
•Students with disabilities learning within Special Education classrooms
•Students with Complex Communication Needs

*What do we mean by "struggling students"? Here we are talking about students who are in mainstream/regular education settings but are struggling to keep up with the reading, writing or organisational tasks required of them. These students may be struggling because of learning difficulties. Alternatively, they could be one of the growing number of ESL (English as a Second Language) students in our schools and post-secondary institutions.

If you are attending the conference in person, this app will help you to:

•Review the program as it is fleshed out in the months leading up to the conference (starting in late June 2013)
•Select the specific sessions that you wish to attend and sync your program across multiple devices to view it on the move
•“Favourite” sessions that you are not able to attend but wish to follow up by reviewing presenter materials and delegate notes at a later stage
•Register for the conference and social events within the app itself
•Learn about all presenters
•Learn about all exhibitors and their newest apps and technologies
•Meet and network with like-minded delegates attending the conference
•Share your notes taken during sessions and read other delegates’ notes
•View resources and presentations provided for all sessions
•Be notified of all upcoming social events and key announcements directly within the app

If you are not able to attend in person, downloading the app will allow you to keep track of comments and social media conversations around the conference presentations, workshops and interest group meetings. Some program content will be available free-of-charge to users of this free app. Some content will be limited only to offsite delegates who have paid to attend the conference “virtually” and those attending in person.
